Mexico Transportation: Airports: August traffic preview: OMA stands

out; Cancun remains weak

In this note, we monitor airlines seat planning data in order to assess our covered

Mexican airports’ traffic performance in coming months.

On a relative basis, seat planning data points to OMA continuing to outperform

ASUR and GAP going into 3Q. Moreover, while we note that ASUR traffic remains

lackluster, we see a slight improvement in YoY performance in 3Q vis-à-vis 2Q26,

with growth turning positive potentially by November of this year. For GAP, seat

data points to a slight improvement in August vis-à-vis July YoY growth, although

September and October data indicate that GAP is expected to underperform the

other 2 groups.
