Whereas we previewed the Theme Park companies last week (US Leisure:

Theme Parks – Muted Trends Given Easy Q2 Comps), we noted that

following a less-than-stellar 2Q, the direction of these stocks would Leisure

populations remain indoors as much as possible. Forecasts suggest that

hazardous conditions should abate into the more attendance-heavy

weekend, but this is certainly an incident worth watching in the context of

theme park stocks.

• Canadian wildfire activity ran below trend through the early part of 2026

before numerous fires were seen across western Ontario on July 13, per

NOAA, with thick smoke spreading across North America over the following

days. The smoke has affected a broad geographic corridor extending from

the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes through Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York,

New Jersey, Massachusetts and the Mid-Atlantic. By July 17, the plume had

also moved toward Virginia and the Carolinas.
