Attractive entry point as rig scarcity builds Key figures & indices
Offshore drilling has entered 2026 with clear momentum, supported by accelerating
contracting activity, an elevated tender pipeline, renewed O&G-driven capital allocation and
a more consolidated industry structure. We prefer floater exposure, driven by high-end
utilization approaching sold-out levels, negligible supply risk and a visible path to higher
dayrates, leaving several of the companies in our coverage universe well-positioned for
further market tightening. In our large-cap Top Picks portfolio, we continue to highlight
Transocean and reintroduce Seadrill, both offering premium asset exposure and torque to
further market tightening. In small caps, Constellation remains our sector Top Pick, while
we also add Ventura Offshore, with both names offering sector-leading contract coverage
and shareholder distribution capacity.

in utilization, forward coverage and dayrates. Tier 1 and 2 drillships are already close to sold
out (~92% utilization), forward coverage continues to improve, and the tender pipeline remains
elevated, supported by E&Ps’ need to secure rig capacity for sanctioned projects and a renewed
focus on investment-led O&G growth. On the supply side, the market is structurally different
from prior cycles. The announced Transocean-Valaris merger creates a dominant floater operator
controlling 44% of Tier 1 drillships (rising to ~80% when including Noble and Seadrill), while industry
