luding valves, fittings, MFCs (Mass Flow Controllers), metal gas filters, and gas supply pipes.

A new material with improved corrosion resistance and processability is under development,

with launch scheduled for FY3/27. With high entry barriers, it is expected to support further

market share expansion. The company’s global share already exceeds 40%, with a target of

50% through new products and capacity expansion, including two VAR furnaces at the Chita

No.2 plant (From Feb 2025). In free forgings, strong military demand in Europe and the U.S.

has led to tight supply for civilian use, prompting industry-wide capacity expansion.

Titanium materials for medical use: The global medical device market is expected by Daido to

grow at a 6% CAGR from 2024 to 2028. The company supplies titanium materials for artificial

joints, dental implants, and fracture treatments, holding over 80% domestic share in alloy bars

and wires. Its global share is around 10%, with a target of 20%. Order volume is expected to

increase to 1.5x FY3/26 levels by FY3/31, supported by expanded VAR capacity at the Chita

No.2 plant (one unit in Oct 2025 and another in Aug 2026).

Magnets: Demand for heavy rare earth-free magnets is expected to grow alongside

automotive electrification. The company has achieved mass production of heavy rare

earth-free hot-deformed magnets, reducing reliance on elements concentrated in specific

countries. These are used in sensors, small actuators, and xEV motors, contributing to stable

procurement as well as higher efficiency and cost reduction. The magnet business targets

sales of ¥500bn by FY3/31. A new production line is being introduced at the Nakatsugawa

plant (Gifu), with planned capex of ¥50bn by 2030. STEP1 investment (¥15bn) for HEV motor
