On May 11th, we hosted meetings with ABM, ADT, BV, IT, MH,
Business & Education Services
MRSH, MSCI, RSG, SRAD, TRI, VRSK, and WCN. Key takeaways North America
from the conference are below. Industry View In-Line
Info Services. AI remained the common theme across meetings, similar to the
trends over the past ~year. Management teams discussed the operational efficiency
opportunity brought about by AI, such as faster product development, internal
efficiencies, and (importantly) the potential for elevated pricing deriving from
advanced tools and consumption-based model concepts. While token costs are
rising, product pricing should offset the increased usage and cost, which is factored
into margin expansion plans and FY guides.
Diversified Business Services. AI and automation was the key topic within the
Diversified names as well, despite the topic being less of a focal point in this area of
our coverage. With regard to the waste peers, investors were focused on how
automation and AI tools can help drive both cost and revenue efficiencies. The
industry is seeing healthy M&A activity, and M&A is expected to remain a priority.
Turning to BV, management is beginning to notice its investment into its fleet and
people play out, resulting in strong customer retention, employee satisfaction, and
potentially inflecting revenue.
