US Autodata, July US new vehicle sales (SAAR) totaled 16.51 million, down
slightly from June's 16.67 million and marginally below our estimate of 16.7
million, but generally in line with expectations. Monthly sales volume was
1.38 million units (‒1.9% YoY on a DSR basis), with passenger cars at 0.24
million units (+0.7% YoY) and light trucks at 1.14 million units (‒2.4% YoY).
