Shopee reported over 3mn registered Brazilian sellers and 35% YoY sales growth

during its 7.7 campaign, which generated 38,000 live broadcasts. Since entering

Brazil in July 2020, the company has distributed more than R$420mn in coupons

and launched the R$9.90/month Shopee VIP program. Shopee also plans to open

ten distribution centers in 2026, expanding its network from 16 to 26 facilities. Four

new cross-docking units will process more than 2mn orders daily and create

approximately 1,800 jobs. The company continues to expand its logistics network

and offers two-day delivery in 75 cities across São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas

Gerais.

Citi's Take: The planned expansion to 26 distribution centers, alongside the

continued rollout of its agency network and the launch of Shopee VIP, reinforces our

view that Shopee is increasingly replicating Mercado Libre's playbook. Shopee

already operates the second largest logistics footprint in Brazil, with what we

estimate is now more than 1.5 million sqm of leased warehouse space (see our
