Commercial Aircraft: Farnborough Air Show - What happened on

the ground?

Last week was the Farnborough Air Show, which is the preeminent industry air show in Douglas S. Harned, Ph.D.

given that Airbus and Boeing are each effectively sold out through 2032 and order

looking at stretches of the A220 and A350, while Boeing spoke positively about coming

Specialist Sales certification on the 737-7 and 737-10.

steve.song@bernsteinsg.com turn into firm orders). COMAC had a 20 airplane order for its C909 regional jet (formerly

ARJ-21) from Air Cambodia, which is COMAC’s first export order. Otherwise we still saw

COMAC as a marginal player in the global market. For Boeing and Airbus, a next narrowbody

still appears far away (post-2038 EIS), with engine progress still the key factor.
