Sika has launched Sikatherm® Impact, a next-generation External Thermal

Insulation System (ETIS) designed primarily for facade renovation projects,

addressing the growing need for energy-efficient upgrades to Spain's aging

building stock. The system improves thermal performance by creating a continuous

insulation layer around the building envelope, helping to reduce energy

consumption, enhance indoor comfort, eliminate thermal bridges and extend

building lifespan. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including residential

buildings, schools, hospitals and commercial properties.

A key innovation of Sikatherm® Impact is its simplified installation process,

reducing the number of construction stages from the typical seven or eight layers

required in conventional systems to just six phases. This streamlines on-site

execution, lowers labor requirements, reduces waste and packaging, and improves

contractor productivity. In addition to offering high durability, impact resistance

and protection against weathering, the solution also aims to reduce environmental

impact through optimized material usage and lower waste generation. The launch

reinforces Sika's focus on supporting energy retrofitting, sustainable construction

and renovation-led growth in Europe.
