COPPER. Chile’s May copper output falls sharply across top miners. “Chile’s

copper output from major producers fell sharply in May, according to data published Alexander Hacking, CFAAC

STEEL. Mexican flat steel prices rise on mill-announced increments. “Mexican flat

steel prices rose in the week ended July 10, driven by price increases announced by

mills, though market participants remained skeptical amid low demand and summer

seasonality. Producers announced a price increase of $25/metric ton effective July

increase was successful, while a second distributor reported that prices had only

STEEL. Mexico urges US steel, auto tariffs be removed: Report. “The Mexican

government is pushing to have steel and auto tariffs lifted in its next round of

USMCA negotiations with the US, according to a report in El Pais. The article said

the matter would be discussed in the next meeting between the two countries,

which is set for July 20. The Mexican government said the tariffs and others

“represent significant obstacles to bilateral trade and require immediate attention.””
