Obicetrapib can become a preferred second choice. We presented

patients with the blinded profile of a number of lipid lowering medicines,

and obicetrapib was selected as the preferred second choice (after statins),

with ~80% of responders indicating that they would likely ask their doctor

about it. We think this positions obi well despite the competitive landscape,

and given second line add-on agents like PCSK9s have achieved >$3B in

annual sales, reassures us that there is room for obi. Further, patient

preference was most significantly driven by risk reduction – not LDL

lowering – an interesting contrast to our physicians survey work. If the 20%

MACE benefit is recapitulated in PREVAIL, it could enable NAMS to appeal

directly to patients to drive uptake, though our survey indicates that most

patients defer to their physician on drug selection.

Additional benefits are nice to have but not enough for drug adoption.

While the additional benefits of obicetrapib such as on Lp(a), small LDL

particles, ApoB, and HDL are potential differentiators that mgmt frequently
