IdeaMindustry mega-trend, turning problem into opportunity. With competition for

HVAC Techs heating up (pun mostly intended), the ATTC facility helps both recruit

and retain the service workforce. The 45k sq foot facility hosts all ~4,500 TT North

America Technicians 1-2x per year for a series of classroom instructional courses and

simulated real-life scenarios. Not only does this allow Technicians to improve their

skillset & advance their careers, but the knowledge gained results in quicker job

turns which allows TT to better leverage this increasingly scarce resource. Ability to

move quickly in the field is also of heightened importance to the customer,

particularly in Data Center. It can take ~20 hours to install, deploy & commission a

chiller – a timeline that can jump by 3-4x for Data Center due to the higher

complexity & quality rigor … and when there are 200 chillers in a Data Center and

speed to market is imperative, TT's ability to commission projects faster supports it

ability to take share on the equipment side. And that is a flywheel.

Beyond the Technician real-life simulation + classroom learning, the tour focused on

the digital + technology driven aftermarket service tools that TT has developed. The

benefits of TT's pushed into digitized service are twofold, 1) Remote monitoring +

Data collection + Autonomous controls creates better outcomes for building

owners through faster response times and improved energy efficiency. This allows

TT to create "customers for life" (ie future equipment demand) and provides

better aftermarket pricing power w/ TT able to monetize both digitized service

tools & recently acquired Brainbox autonomous control solutions (ie sharing in the

efficiency economics).
