acceleration in 3Q and greater acceleration in 4Q as subscription growth benefits
from the restart of the federal contract and other temporary headwinds begin to
normalize. While VRSK reaffirmed its full year guide, the growth recovery is more
back-end loaded than we previously anticipated.
n Weather-related demand remains below normal. Lower catastrophe and
weather-related activity continues to pressure portions of the claims and property
restoration business. VRSK noted that 2026 is tracking toward one of the lowest
catastrophe-loss years in recent history and highlighted limited storm activity
through June and July. Guidance assumes a typical level of hurricane activity,
implying downside risk if weather remains unusually benign.
n Commercial property market softness continues to weigh on growth. VRSK
highlighted increasingly competitive commercial property markets, with softer
pricing and lower quote activity causing insurers to be more selective in pursuing
new business. This is reducing demand for transactional underwriting analytics tied
to quoted business and remains one of the primary pressures on transactional
revenue growth. The company suggested these dynamics could persist through the
