A Farnborough full of surprises 22 July 2026

We attended the 2026 Farnborough Airshow (FAS). In our observations and from Equity

meetings with companies and investors, this year’s FAS was notable for a host of Americas

unusual reasons. Attendance appeared notably down vs. prior iterations. Companies at Aerospace/Defense

the front and center of the airshow’s events (both literally through chalet placement, and Ronald J. Epstein

figuratively through highlighted events) were disproportionately early-stage and/or Research Analyst

defense focused. While Airbus and Boeing were quieter than expected at the show, a BofAS+1 646 855 5695

Immediately upon arriving at Farnborough, it was noticeable that younger companies BofAS

BETA dominated news flow during the show while holding prime positions among the

chalets themselves. Likewise, Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) platforms were on full
