growth of lithium metal spikes, which can lead to battery short circuits and failure. By modifying the electrolyte processing method to reduce

these effects, the researchers achieved over 300% higher current density while improving battery stability and lifespan in laboratory tests.

The breakthrough could help accelerate the development of safer, faster-charging, and higher-energy-density solid-state batteries for

future EVs, although challenges related to cost and large-scale manufacturing remain.
