• Hyundai Motor Starts Moving Key Equipment Into In-House Battery Plant.- thelec.net Hyundai Motor has begun installing production

equipment at its first in-house battery manufacturing facility, the Mobility Alpha-line Anseong Campus (MAAC) in South Korea. The KRW 1.2

trillion facility will initially produce NCM pouch batteries with an annual capacity of around 2 GWh, enough to support approximately 20,000

EVs. Hyundai plans to complete the pouch-cell production line by the end of 2026 and is evaluating the addition of a prismatic battery line

in 2027. The project is part of Hyundai’s strategy to strengthen battery technology capabilities, improve supply chain control, and advance

development of next-generation batteries, including solid-state technologies.

• Factorial and SK On to cooperate on solid-state batteries.- electrive.com Factorial Energy and South Korean battery maker SK On have

signed a strategic partnership to accelerate the commercialization of solid-state batteries by evaluating how Factorial’s FEST (Factorial

Electrolyte System Technology) can be integrated into SK On’s existing lithium-ion battery production lines. By leveraging SK On’s global

manufacturing footprint of more than 200 GWh of annual battery capacity, the collaboration aims to reduce the cost and time required

to scale solid-state battery production. The partnership supports Factorial’s broader commercialization efforts with automotive partners

including Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Kia, and Stellantis, and represents another step toward bringing next-generation solid-state batteries

to mass-market applications.
