Table

Weekly Valuation and Crowding Overview

CITI'S TAKE

Below we analyze positioning using Citi Quant team’s data (excel download) AC Patrick Cunninghamand present key valuation metrics and share price moves for our coverage.

While the crowding composite data is not intended to be a buy/sell signal by +1-212-816-6684

itself, we believe it can serve as a valuable tool for investment consideration. patrick.cunningham@citi.com

Rachel Lee

Most Crowded Longs — Analysis from Citi’s Quant Team suggests ECVT, LIN, and +1-212-816-4559

RPM continue to be the most crowded longs within our coverage (Figure 3). Nearly rachel.lee@citi.com

all of our names saw an increase in long crowding this week with the exception of

LYB (-7% W/W) on weaker sentiment despite higher growth score and lower short

interest. The most notable move was APD with a ~34% W/W gain in long crowding

on higher sentiment score, relative valuation, and growth score despite higher short

interest. We believe the significant increase in crowding reflects positive investor

reaction to APD’s decision not to proceed with the Louisiana project (our note here).

Investor focus has since shifted towards potential asset redeployment and

monetization opportunities. Average long crowding for our coverage was up ~13%

W/W, reversing last week’s trend (down ~3% W/W).

Most Crowded Shorts — Analysis from Citi’s Quant Team suggests PPG, EMN, and

FMC are now the most crowded shorts within our coverage (Figure 4). Overall,

average short crowding for our coverage was down ~1% W/W, reversing last week’s

trend (up ~4% W/W).
