demand. Overseas sales amounted to ¥6.1trn in 2024, and the government aims to

more than triple this figure to ¥20trn in 2033.

While gaming forms the core of the content industry for its strong competitiveness,

anime and other contents are also deemed important for strengthening Japan's soft
