Credit Card Insights into US Multi-Industry – June ’26 Week 4
CITI'S TAKE
Andrew Kaplowitz AC
We continue to examine a subset of Citi US Credit Card data (June ’26 Week +1-212-816-0642
4; ended 6/27) for potential read-throughs. In the “HVAC Bucket”, while andrew.kaplowitz@citi.com
we’ve noticed a deceleration trend the past two weeks, we do call out that
an expected heat-wave in the current week (Heat dome expected to set Vladimir Bystricky
>100 record highs through 7/4) could reverse this trend, and we’ll continue +1-212-816-6595
to monitor data trends (potentially a read-through for TT/CARR/CSW). vladimir.bystricky@citi.com
Interestingly, in the “Consumer Bucket”, data trends reversed: Car Washes,
which has been the strongest subcategory YTD, declined (-10.8% y/y) while Jose Sulca Flores
Stationery, Office Supplies, Printing and Writing Paper has shown an jose.alonso.sulcaflores@citi.com
upward trend the last three weeks (+8.8% y/y), and we’ll continue to
monitor data trends (potentially a read-through for MMM).
