PB Fin has been under pressure since the start of the year on account of potential Manas Agrawal

manas.agrawal@bernsteinsg.com commission cuts is now overdue, and we think a ~10% hit to top-line is in the price today.
We expect deferrals in life plans, with some cuts in health plans. A 10-15% hit to PB Fin’s
Himank Sangai top-line is our base case. The regulatory paper will be a clearing event, with most investors

1. ~10% revenue hit is in the price: The stock is down ~16% from pre-event level. We
think a ~10% revenue hit will drag steady-state profitability by a similar ~10%. Add some
multiple compression, and a ~16% price decline covers a ~10% revenue hit scenario. We
build a ready-reckoner for investors heading into D-day (Exhibit 2). A more detailed version
is available for investors to tweak. We bake in varied levels of revenue hit and associated
cost control offsets. We assume direct costs can be proportionately cut. Fixed costs
(overheads & indirect marketing) will be stickier in the near-term but can be controlled in the
medium-term. FY27 profit impact will be higher than top-line impact, but FY28/29 profit
impact should mirror the top-line impact.
2. What happens on the day of the paper? The stock has swung like a pendulum since
the turn of the year. Currently down ~16% from Dec-25 highs, it has swung between -10%
to -30% levels. The consultation paper can come any day. The size of the proposed cut will
