Glass Fiber & E-fabric – Weekly Snapshot – 20260625
CITI’S TAKE
China’s glass fiber market remained soft in the week ended Jun 25, per
SCI, with coarse roving prices broadly stable but downstream demand still
subdued amid the seasonal slowdown. Inventory continued to build
modestly as shipment momentum remained weak. In contrast, electronic
yarn fundamentals stayed exceptionally strong. Despite new capacity Anna WangAC
coming online, supply-demand imbalance persisted as additional +852-2501-2739
capacity was largely allocated to in-house weaving and high-end anna.d.wang@citi.com
products. Low inventories across electronic yarn and electronic fabric,
Jack Shang, CFA
together with resilient CCL demand, continue to support further price
+852-2501-2441
increases. The E-fabric 7628 series is set to increase by more than jack.shang@citi.com
Rmb1.0/meter at the beginning of July per our industry checks. We remain
constructive on electronic yarn as the strongest earnings driver within the Jimmy Feng
glass fiber value chain. Maintain Buy on Jushi. +852-2501-7588

Pricing – 1) The mainstream transaction price for 2400tex winding direct roving Cynthia Wu
remained at Rmb3,600-3,900/ton, with the national average at Rmb3,791/ton, flat +852-2868-7813
WoW and up 3.33% YoY, per SCI. Spot transactions remained soft, with some cynthia.d.wu@citi.com
producers adopting selective promotional pricing to stimulate shipments. 2) G75
electronic yarn prices held at Rmb14,000-14,500/ton, with an average transaction
price of approximately Rmb14,250/ton, per SCI, broadly flat WoW as June contract
prices continued to be executed.
