We attended AWS’s annual NYC Summit where AI was unsurprisingly the fatima.boolani@citi.com
key topic across keynotes, customer convo/fieldwork. Specifically, we
sensed focus has fully-shifted towards “production AI” objectives, where Mark Zhang
enabling secure and efficient AI/agent usage is becoming paramount as +1-212-816-2267
customers encounter AI’s inherent control/visibility hurdles, and its power mark1.zhang@citi.com
to disrupt operational processes if left unfettered. There is mounting
evidence AI mandates are graduating from infancy/testing stages (early use Joel Omino
cases having yielded compelling productivity gains), but full +1-212-519-9383
productionization/scale remains out-of-reach for most, beholden to critical joel.omino@citi.com
pieces of the tech/security stack that need to be modernized as
prerequisites for overarching AI success/ROI. With that said, sentiment was
consequently strong for cyber platforms (especially given their AI-centric
portfolio enhancements), with palpably ramping interest in modernizing
resiliency and observability postures (evident in share of booth traffic and
conversations) as customers focus on hardening business continuity and
ensuring efficient AI usage. Detailed takes/checks commentary inside.
Key observations from expo floor diligence — 1) AI is yielding efficiency gains, but a
lack of oversight on agent activity and controls have stalled full productionization;
