Challenger Ltd (CGF.AX) - Scant detail but Fidante merger seems sensible at
first look
At face value, Fidante's merger with Channel Capital looks strategically sensible
and incrementally positive for Challenger. With the Fidante business facing cyclical
headwinds (FuM -A$14bn in ~2yrs), the transaction leaves CGF retaining some
exposure to potential growth but allows it to allocate more capital to the
enhanced, and arguably now more attractive, growth opportunities in its Life
business. A caveat to our view is that financial details are currently limited, with
only minimal financial quantification. However, for now we presume the sale
metrics will prove reasonable and therefore retain our Buy call, with no change to
our A$10.00 TP.

Goodman Group (GMG.AX) - Goodman Secures Strategic Industrial Land
Soul Patts has agreed to divest Brickworks' 50% stake in the Industrial JV Trust to
Goodman Group entities (GAIP) for A$1.89b — a price consistent with property
values at the time of the Brickworks-SOL combination, anticipated to complete
late June 2026. For Goodman, this is more than an asset acquisition. The
Brickworks Industrial JV sites — strategically located across Australia's key
logistics corridors — carry significantly higher power infrastructure relative to
standard industrial land, making them ideally suited for next-generation data-
enabled logistics, high-throughput distribution, and increasingly, AI-adjacent
warehouse infrastructure.
