Netherlands increases strike price for 2GW of Offshore Wind projects

The Dutch cabinet has increased financial support for the IJmuiden Ver Gamma-A and

Gamma-B offshore wind farms to ensure sufficient interest in 2GW of new capacity in

the North Sea which will be tendered in November and December before awarding

permits in 1Q 2027. The cabinet said the maximum tender amount for IJmuiden Ver

Gamma-A will rise from €104/MWh to €117/MWh and will increase from €103/MWh to

€116/MWh for IJmuiden Ver Gamma-B. The total budget reservation amounts to about

UK Government objects to proposed Thames Water deal

The UK’s environment secretary wrote to the industry regulator on Monday to raise

concerns over the £10bn package put forward by the firm’s lenders. The proposal would

allow creditors formally to take over the business and provide new debt and equity. The

objection increases the prospect of the nationalisation of Britain’s biggest water

company. Creditors first went to Ofwat for approval in June 2025. Under the deal,

creditors would inject £3.35bn of equity into the utility, as well as providing £3.25bn of

debt, which could be topped up with an extra £3.3bn. A government spokesman told the
