MSCI Inclusion to EM Key Dates and Catalysts

Our base case is for a consultation launch later this month. There are two key

dates to monitor. On June 18, MSCI is to release the 2026 Global Market

Accessibility Review Report, which aims to assess and track the evolution of

accessibility in individual markets. On June 23, MSCI is expected to announce the

results of the Market Classification Review, where it will communicate its

conclusions from discussions with the investment community on the list of

countries under review, and announce the new list of countries, if any, under

review for potential market reclassification in the upcoming cycle. This is when

consultations for potential reclassifications are typically launched.

MSCI reserves to right to change classification different from norms and standards,

but the standard remains a consultation period that typically takes 12-18 months.

We think geopolitical and institutional factors can play into this for Argentina, but

the most likely scenario remains a double upgrade to EM by early 2028. A risk

scenario for Argentine equities would be an upgrade to MSCI Frontier, in our view.

A consultation launch for upgrade to Frontier would likely be perceived as

negative by markets, as there is virtually no AUM indexed to that benchmark.
