Oil markets: Renewed round of Hormuz worries drives volatility Oil price (USD/bbl) Index development
Following three days of relentless selling crude prices turned around yesterday to close higher.
Brent 1 mth. rose +1.52 to $75.26, jumping off at $72 low point. The trigger was a report that a
vessel had been attacked by an unidentified missile while seeking to traverse Hormuz on the Oman
side. The news was accompanied by reports that four tankers had turned around after receiving
orders from the IRGC not to pass. The development shed doubts on the reopening process and
caused prices to react. Reports of a major impact in Venezuela also raised some concerns over the
nation’s oil output, although initial reports said oil infrastructure had not been damaged. Reports
that more tankers have exited Hormuz after the incident has put prices under downward pressure Natural gas prices (USD/MMBtu) Overview of performance
again Friday morning with Brent recently back below $74, down -$1.10.
DOFG (Hold, NOK 137): Secures 3+2x1y contract for CSV Skandi Involver
The contract is in DOFG’s North America region, with client undisclosed. CSV Skandi Involver
(2017 / 400t) is currently moving from its previous location in Brazil towards Guyana (making Exxon
the likely client) with contract start-up in Q3’26. We estimate the contract value at ~USD 150m
including ROV and survey services, generating an estimated annual EBITDA of 25m, which is
within our estimated range for this vessel class. Nord Pool (EUR/MWh) 12m fwd. EV/EBITDA
