• US – US equities were higher in Friday trading, though ended off best levels.

Up-and-down session as market navigated headline volatility around US-Iran 7,460

MOU updates. Breadth positive with semis/memory group largely higher. 7,440

• Asia – Asian equities rallying Monday after US and Iran agreed to end 7,420

hostilities. Tech-heavy benchmarks in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan

outperforming. Greater China markets also higher in early trade. S&P 500 7,400

futures advancing. Markets in risk-on mode after US and Iran confirmed deal 7,380

to end conflict (including in Lebanon) with signing ceremony scheduled for

• Oil prices – Friday WTI and Brent traded down to their lowest levels in two

months. Brent down 4% and WTI down 4.6% Monday following US-Iran

peace deal. Trump said Strait of Hormuz shipping will resume after deal US and Asia indices (at time of publication)

signed and without tolls. US will end naval blockade in return. 6.00%

• CAPT – This morning, Capital Tankers announced that they have acquired

3x VLCC newbuilds from their sponsor Capital Maritime (~75% owner). The 3.00%

scrubber-fitted vessels are currently under construction at Hengli with 2.00%

delivery scheduled for late 2027 (30 Sep, 30 Oct and 21 Nov). These are not 1.18%

part of the original options (11x VLCCs and 2x suezmaxes with delivery in 1.00% 0.70% 0.50% 0.31% 0.47%

2028), which CAPT still retains. The firm fleet will then be 33x ships (15x

VLCCs, 10x suezmaxes and 8x aframaxes/LR2s), in addition to the 13x 0.00% Dow S&P 500 Nasdaq Nikkei 225 Hang Seng Shanghai
