• The Nordic high-yield market remained active last week, with a steady flow of new issuance across a mix of repeat
and new issuers. Among the week's transactions was offshore drilling company Eldorado Drilling's inaugural bond
issue, raising USD 425 million well inside initial price talk on the back of a heavily oversubscribed book. Secondary
market activity remained robust, with volumes slightly above the previous week's levels, and healthy liquidity
supporting strong trading volumes across the market
• Following a soft start to the week, sentiment improved significantly after President Trump announced a further
60-day ceasefire extension on Wednesday to facilitate U.S.-Iran peace talks. Brent fell sharply to below USD
87/bbl, its lowest level since the conflict escalated. Equity markets responded positively, with the S&P 500 up
0.6%, the Nasdaq gaining 2.3%, and the Euro STOXX 600 rising 1.7% over the week. The ECB raised rates by
25bps to 2.25% on Thursday, marking its first hike since 2023. European high-yield markets followed the positive
developments, with the iTraxx Crossover index tightening 10bps during the week to 253bps
• With deals continuing to build in the pipeline, we expect the Nordic high-yield market to remain active in the
coming weeks. As the market approaches Swedish Midsummer and the summer holiday period, activity is likely
to gradually moderate, although we anticipate a healthy flow of transactions before then
