UpdateMElectronics & Information Materials business: Develops photosensitive materials,

polymer materials, and fine particle dispersion materials, for semiconductors and

electronic components, displays, and printing. Strengths lie in materials design

technologies and process technologies such as photolithography, coating,

polymerization, and formulation, underpinned by strong collaborative relationships

with key customers. New mid-term plan calls for earnings growth through expansion

of core businesses, alongside sales of strategic products in growth markets/regions

and new businesses for AI data centers. In the semiconductor and electronic

components segment, Toray is expanding sales of materials for thin-film inductor

coils, advanced packaging materials, and environmentally friendly polyimide

materials, supported by the proliferation of generative AI. In the display segment, it

is prioritizing higher value-added OLED materials and increasing market share

through the launch of new products for foldable devices. In addition, the company is

accelerating development of materials for optoelectronic integration, multicore

optical fibers, and next-generation semiconductors, aiming for a step change in

earnings growth from 2030.

Carbon Fiber Composite Materials business: Develops carbon fibers, intermediate

materials, and molded products for aerospace & defense, sports, and general

industrial applications on a global basis. Competitive strengths include a global

supply chain spanning North America, Europe, and Asia, a high level of quality and

reliability established in aerospace & defense applications, and integrated
