A guiding principle at Morgan Stanley Research is to enhance
your investment process by delivering unique insights that
separate the signal from the noise. An intuitively designed and
well-crafted chart can often accomplish this with exceptional
clarity.
With that mission in mind, these charts in our recently published research stood out
to me.
1. US Equity Strategy: We view the June 5 sell-off as a healthy reset, but
positioning and liquidity still bear watching.
2. Global Technology: We believe surging memory prices and supply scarcity
are becoming a growing risk across the digital economy.
3. US Economics: Our estimate of the neutral real policy rate (r*) has risen,
posing a risk to our outlook for further Fed normalization in 2027.
4. North America Economics: Trade policy and AI are re-wiring US-Mexico-
Canada trade.
5. Japan Quant Equity Strategy: Japan's stock market has been viewed as
relatively unaffected by momentum, but we think this "conventional
wisdom" is changing.
6. India Private Credit: India is one of the fastest‑growing private credit
markets in Asia.
7. US Retail Hardlines: We expect tariff refunds to be material for many
companies in our US Hardlines coverage universe.
8. US Stock-Based Compensation: US corporates’ SBC is at an all-time high,
with virtually every sector increasing issuance Y/Y.
