Why Hasn't Oil Forced Resolution Concerning the "Strait"? The obliqueness of the oil market always
confounds investors, driving the constant question, "What is it that we don't know?" The Strait
has been closed for 77 days and while the Dated Brent Oil price is north of $112/bbl, it still isn't KEY CHANGES INCLUDE:
forcing a resolution… yet. We hear all the rationalizations around secondary & tertiary storage draws,
demand destruction, market manipulation and/or fear of a new investment cycle. They all probably TICKER RATING PRICE TARGET
contribute to the shape of the oil curve. But one of the biggest swings has to be China. They are DVN BUY $63.00 ($62.00)
proving to be one of the world's greatest traders (Ex 1). With that said, with each passing day the
COP BUY $161.00 ($160.00)
pressure is rising, and the level of post conflict inventory refill growing.
