Quick Take: GN launches new ReSound Sensia hearing aid,

kicking off the busy H2 RIC product launch window

This morning, GN launched its new premium hearing aid family ReSound Sensia,

which replaces Vivia as its key premium platform. Initially, Sensia will be available in

receiver-in-canal (“RIC”) and in-the-ear (“ITE”) form factors with a behind-the-ear (“BTE”)

form factor likely coming later. The platform is built on the same core hardware as Vivia

including the dual-chip system with the Syntiant AI chip, but features meaningful software

updates to improve the noise reduction features. Notably, the product also allows for

automatic engagement of the noise reduction mode, while maintaining a strong battery life.

The company has maintained its beamforming technology with Sensia prioritizing sounds

coming from the direction the user is facing. More broadly, GN is positioning ReSound

Sensia as the world’s smallest AI hearing aid and offers up to 24 hours of battery life, with

GN claiming its DNN processing is 17x more energy efficient than competing AI-powered

solutions.

Beyond the core hearing aid launch, GN also introduced ReSound Sensia Bimodal

and ReSound Enzo IA Bimodal devices, designed to integrate with Cochlear Nucleus

sound processors. The company also announced updates to its Smart Fit software platform,

including support for the new NAL-NL3 fitting standard and a simplified interface aimed at

improving audiologist workflow efficiency.
