On July 28, the FCC announced a ban on the marketing, sale, and operation

of new foreign-made power inverter models in the U.S. The speed and Theodore Giletti, CFA

manufacturers. Going forward, DoW and DHS may provide a pathway for

conditional approval of new models based on three security-related criteria,

although the review process and timelines remain uncertain. We think

meeting these criteria may prove more challenging for Chinese

manufacturers than for their European counterparts, while suppliers that

localize production in the U.S. could be viewed more favorably.
