with previous management commentary that more infrastructure-focused projects

can sit under more balance sheet-friendly structures such as pay-for-usage

agreements where needed to preserve project returns. We think the market is likely

to take this optionality positively as ADG appears willing to invest behind resilience,

but not at the expense of its capital discipline. However, we note that some of the

most strategically important resilience options may still take time to define

commercially, which means the market may not immediately see near-term clarity

on ownership, funding, or timing.

n Dividend support remains part of the story, although we think it is secondary to

normalization and growth as a key investor focus area in the near term.

Management reiterated the 5% YoY dividend growth policy and US$24.4bn total

dividend distribution through 2030, supported by a strong balance sheet and

significant balance sheet flexibility. In our view, that should help underpin downside

support while the market waits for clearer evidence on SoH normalization, Habshan

recovery, and RGD Phase 2/3 progression. However, we believe the market will still

likely look to test how elevated capex and recovery-related spending interact with

that payout framework, particularly if export normalization proves slower than

hoped.
