Meet the Analysts
Richard Garchitorena, CFA, is a senior equity research
analyst covering the North America Metals and Mining
sector, joining Barclays in 2025. He has worked in the
investment industry since 2004, including roles with Extel-
ranked research teams at Credit Suisse (Metals and
Mining) and Wells Fargo (U.S. Chemicals), where he led
coverage of the agricultural sector. He also spent six years
on the buy side at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas
(TRS) as lead analyst for the Global Materials and Precious
Metals sectors. Richard holds an MBA from the University
of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, a BBA in
Finance and Management Information Systems from
Simon Fraser University, and is a CFA charterholder.

Amos Fletcher is a Director and head of the European
Metals & Mining equity research team at Barclays, based in
