• The Nordic high-yield market marked another active week last week, with four transactions completed and five

new mandates announced. Several well-known credit stories successfully returned to the market, continuing a

trend observed over recent months. Investor demand remains strong for issuers with established track records,

while new issuers are generally experiencing somewhat longer execution timelines amid a busy primary market.

Secondary market activity remained strong, broadly in line with the previous week's levels, with spreads stable

and solid trading volumes across the Nordic high-yield market

• The US jobs report released last Friday came in at 172,000, well above forecasts, putting a Fed rate hike back on

the table for later this year. US equities sold off sharply over the week, with the S&P 500 down 2.6% and the

Nasdaq falling 4.5%. European equities held up better, with the Euro Stoxx 600 ending the week 0.5% lower.

Looking ahead, the ECB is widely expected to raise rates by 25bps at this week's meeting, with a second hike

anticipated before year-end as war-driven inflation concerns continue to build

• May ranked as the second busiest month on record in terms of issuance volume for the Nordic high-yield market,

with EUR 3.8bn issued across 24 transactions. June got off to a strong start, and we expect elevated activity to

continue through to the summer holiday period.
