BioInvent-Hold-on, more data coming-05/13/2026
BioInvent
NEWSFLASH | 13 MAY 2026
Hold-on, more data coming
Yesterday late afternoon, BioInvent published EHA abstracts which included little new data from the BI-1808 CTCL program,
and no new data for BI-1206, creating a confusion whether “that was it” in terms of new data. The stock traded down 11% at
market close as a result of this communication, which we deem an overreaction, as the company confirmed to us that more
data (with a later cut-off data) will come for both BI-1808 in CTCL and the BI-1206 triplet data in NHL. The data will be
presented in conjunction with an in-depth analysis and released during EHA on June 11.
BI-1808 in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL)
With a data cut-off of February 2026 (versus October 2025 previously), the monotherapy arm showed that one additional mycosis fungoides
patient responded, while one previously responding Sézary syndrome patient progressed. This reduced the overall response rate (ORR)
from 46% (6 responders out of 13) to 40% (6 responders out of 15). The disease control rate (DCR) remains strong with 93% of patients not
seeing their tumors progress and the one patient that experienced a complete response (CR) is now durable at over two years and ongoing.
There has been one Grade 3 AE (skin reaction) in the monotherapy arm. In the combination arm, BI-1808 plus pembrolizumab achieved a
50% ORR in 8 evaluable patients (all PRs), 2 patients with stable disease and two Grade 3 AEs (pulmonary embolism and colitis), which are
both consistent with known pembrolizumab toxicities.
BI-1808 in ovarian cancer
Additionally, on May 21, BioInvent will publish an ASCO abstract on BI-1808 in combination with pembrolizumab in recurrent ovarian cancer,
with the poster presentation on May 30.
