Higher? (11 May 2026) We observed three tankers exiting through the Strait in the last 24hrs, including

a VLCC heading from the UAE to Japan, but no China-bound vessels yet today.

Our 7-day outbound avg stands at 2.7 vessels/day, the highest level in several

weeks but still low compared to normal flow out of the Strait.

President Trump said that Chinese President Xi Jinping would like to see a deal

with Iran made, a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and has offered to help.

Iran's state broadcaster IRIB reported that about 30 vessels had transited

through the strait since Wednesday evening.

Iran has begun allowing some Chinese vessels to transit through the SoH

following an understanding over Iranian management protocols for the waterway.
