Titan delivered a strong Q1 FY27 operational print, with Revenue/EBITDA (adjusted

for one-offs) ahead of Street expectations, underscoring disciplined execution across

the portfolio in a volatile Q1 backdrop. Despite a customs-duty hike, domestic

jewellery revenue grew 38% y/y, driven by higher transaction values (+31% y/y) and

TTAN’s own demand levers—an attractive gold exchange program, lighter/lowercarat offerings, and continued diamond activation. Buyer growth was 5% (higher for

studded) with moderation in demand in May (post duty hike and onset of Adhik Maas,

with June broadly offsetting the slippage), and TTAN noting healthy demand trends

in July. Even as the key investor debate was the growth durability amid stabilizing

gold prices, management expressed confidence of delivering in-line / better than

shared aspiration anchored on execution-led drivers: deeper regionalization, rising

salience of high-value studded, retail transformation, and sharper portfolio play to

drive buyer acquisition in price-sensitive cohorts (sub-Rs 50k/100k). On the margin

front, the company aims to sustain domestic jewellery (TMZ) margin at ~11%, with

CaratLane trending to ~10% (double-digit) EBITm, international (ex‑Damas)

sustaining ~5–6%, and TEAL normalizing at ~12–16% over the medium term. Going

into the print, the stock had a strong run-up (+7% vs NIFTY +1% over the past month)

and may consolidate in the near term. We raise FY27–28E earnings by 1–2% and set

a revised Sep-27 PT of Rs5,465. Key share price catalysts include gold price moves

and jewellery demand trends. We stay OW.
