EMEA FinTech Roundup: Earnings read through (V/MA + WLN/NEXII) and benchmarking, Adyen Agentic Commerce, Wise OCC Charter, Ryft Pay fireside, Apple-Klarna Device Leasing, and more...

particularly across EMEA and markets with complex local requirements; extensive local

and alternative payment method coverage, which becomes increasingly important

outside the US; stronger omnichannel capabilities that unite online and card-present

payments on a common acquiring and data architecture; and an enterprise focus that

aligns with Shopify's push upmarket. Against this backdrop, Adyen appears well

positioned both to win incremental processing within Shopify Payments as the platform

expands beyond its current 40+ countries and to serve larger merchants through

strategic third-party relationships. While Stripe remains well positioned in North America

favoured where Shopify requires stronger local authorisation performance, broader

APM/LPM coverage or faster market entry.

marketplaces, franchises and software platforms, including merchant onboarding,

underwriting, and acquiring orchestration. Ryft targets platforms processing c.£10m–

£300m of annual GMV, positioning itself between Stripe Connect self-serve model and

Adyen for Platforms enterprise proposition. It has secured FCA authorisation and raised

a reported £7.4m in seed and Series A.
