According to a report in the July 31 Nikkei, Itochu Corporation (8001, covered by Japan Equity Research
Jiro Iokibe) plans to invest around ¥300 billion in Tokyo Century’s wholly owned

• Strategic significance for Tokyo Century: ACG is designated as an
“improvement and recovery business” in the current medium-term plan,
suggesting it could be shifted off-balance-sheet. However, our analysis is that
this decision is not to withdraw from aircraft leasing services but rather to
