CITI'S TAKE
MA maintained its 1Q net revenue growth momentum into 2Q (both 12% Y/Y
FXN), despite initial headwinds in xborder travel volumes caused by the
conflict in the Middle East. In fact, total xborder assessments accelerated Buy
to 20% FXN Y/Y growth (vs 18% LQ), and domestic assessments did as well Price (30 Jul 26 16:00) US$577.35
(10% vs 8% LQ), with both driven by volume/transaction growth and pricing.
Target price US$675.00VAS growth continued to hold steady at 18%, helping to set the stage on net
for the modest guidance raise. Looking ahead, we believe that BVNK’s Expected share price return 16.9%
expected closing in 3Q should help MA develop a greater and more Expected dividend yield 0.5%
integrated stablecoin platform. We think the recent win in the UAE helps
Expected total return 17.4%showcase the degree of competitive moating MA is capable of forming. We
remain Buy rated and reiterate our TP of $675. Market Cap US$510,137M
Strengths
n Guidance Raised. MA raised its FY26 revenue growth guidance modestly, Price Performance
reflecting strength in 1H performance (net revenue growth of 14.9% FXN vs guide (RIC: MA.N, BB: MA US)
of "high end of low double digits"), and easing headwinds from the conflict in the
Middle East. For 2H26, we believe that not only should MA be able to
sequentially accelerate net revenue growth, but margins should also continue to
expand, leading to sustainable mid-teens annual adj. EPS growth.
n High Take Rate Cross Border Volumes Show Resilient Y/Y Growth. Although
April MTD disclosures at 1Q earnings indicated that cross border Y/Y volume
