Price (30 Jul 26 15:30) ¥4,491.0 Q2 business profit came in at ¥10.8bn (+35% YoY), slightly below
Target price ¥4,500.0 consensus of ¥11.0bn and guidance of ¥11.6bn as 1) sales volume
remained flat YoY, and 2) promotional expenses increased notably. Lower Expected share price return 0.2%
June temperatures YoY and adjustments to promotional activities in the Expected dividend yield 1.6%
CVS channel caused sales volume growth to fall below our forecast of +2% Expected total return 1.8%
YoY. Meanwhile, the profit-boosting effects from price revisions Market Cap ¥726,998M
implemented in October 2025 and March 2026 appear to be emerging US$4,449M
smoothly. The company also announced it will conduct a ¥400bn share
buyback (5% of market cap) starting in November. This represents a
¥100bn increase from last year's announced ¥300bn campaign, marking

Implications — With the shares trading on a forward PER of 25x, reflecting high hiroki.watanabe@citi.com
market expectations, we view today's Q2 results as negative for the near-term stock
price. However, the main factors behind the BP consensus miss were temporary
weather impacts and increased promotional expenses, so we believe profitability
improvement momentum has not weakened. Additionally, during the briefing, the
company suggested it may expand its share buyback framework to ¥1,500bn
cumulatively for FY26-30 ( ¥300bn annual average). Therefore, we would consider
