A few interesting news items in obesity space this week. BI 3034701 (GLP-1/

GIP/NPY2) advanced into Ph2 obesity development; 710GO (MC3R/MC4R)

reported data on lean-mass preservation and reduced rebound in NHPs; RT-114

achieved >150% oral bioavailability vs matched SC dosing in Ph1a; ASC30/

ASC48 selected for development as an oral GLP-1/GIP combo; oral Wegovy

gained EU approval; Revita retained up to 84% of GLP-1-induced weight loss

after discontinuation.

Bottom line. This week's updates reinforce our view that obesity innovation is broadening beyond

simply driving greater weight loss. The focus is increasingly shifting toward quality weight loss,

durability after GLP-1 d/c, and improving compliance through oral Tx. At the same time, emerging

biology continues to expand the opportunity set beyond traditional incretins, while oral obesity

development remains one of the most active areas of investment and pipeline activity.

Novel MOAs continue to gain traction. 710GO (MC3R/MC4R agonist) reported additional data

supporting lean mass preservation and reduced weight regain in obese NHPs, whileBI 3034701

(GLP-1/GIP/NPY2) advanced into Ph2 development, introducing NPY2 biology as a potential new

lever for appetite regulation and obesity treatment. We continue to view obesity as entering next wave

of innovation, where differentiation increasingly centers on body composition, durability, and metabolic

quality rather than incremental weight-loss efficacy alone. While still early, these programs represent

some of the more interesting attempts to move beyond traditional incretin biology.
