Nearly a year after our Alzheimer’s deep dive, we continue to flag favorable

updates to our blood-based biomarker (BBM) thesis, including a novel

.

commercial payer update (a first for BBMs), DHR/Beckman's first clinical BBM Source: Jefferies

(CE-mark for EU), and Leqembi FDA approval for at-home treatment initiation.

Further, we recap highlights from AAIC 2026, which reinforced accelerating

BBM adoption, growing real-world utility, and a significant remaining TAM

runway.

Anthem policy update = unlock for blood tests in 2H26. Earlier this month, Anthem - the second

largest commercial payer in the United States - issued what appears to be the first ever commercial

medical policy update covering CSF and BBM tests as tools to assist in the diagnosis of, or guidance

in the clinical management of, Alzheimer disease. The policy, which was updated July 1st, considers

BBM testing medically necessary for symptomatic adults age ≥50 with mild cognitive impairment

or dementia suggestive of Alzheimer's disease, whose diagnosis remains uncertain after standard

evaluation, and when the test is a) FDA-cleared or b) measures p-tau217 (or %) and the results are

expected to guide management (e.g., triage PET/CSF testing, support referral decisions, or evaluate

eligibility for anti-amyloid therapy). In short, this is the first door opening for commercial coverage

of BBMs, including next-generation multi-analyte tests such as C2N's Precivity AD2 and QTRX's

Lucent AD Complete, both of which are specified in the article (both in FDA review process). C2N
