In his presentation, the doc highlighted data from a small cohort of RARP cases (n=22 incl 10 bilateral

allograft, 11 bilateral nerve sparing [BNS]) showing no stat sig difference in erectile function and

time to continence outcomes between bilateral allograft and BNS cases. More specifically, allograft

pts had an average time to erection of 16.5 mos vs 18 mos in BNS arm (p=0.406) and average time to

continence of 2.3 mos vs 4.7 mos in BNS arm (p=0.107). While these differences were non-stat sig, we

could argue reducing time to erection by 1.5 mos and time to continence by >2 mos would resonate

strongly with patients.

From a procedural standpoint, the doc noted Avance nerve grafting adds ~10-15 minutes to his

~2.5 hours RARP procedures depending on whether its unilateral or bilateral grafting, which he views

as immaterial from a procedure time/workflow pespective. The doc also characterized the procedure

as very teachable with an undemanding learning curve. This is consistent with what we learned from

our recent conversation with Dr. Zayed Schwen (referenced below).

Lastly, the doc incorporates the use of bilateral Axoguard nerve wrapping in all his grafting

cases incl unilateral nerve sparing cases. To be more specific, in these cases where he only grafts

unilaterally, the doc wraps both the grafted nerve and the spared nerve as he prefers to protect both

nerves from inflammation in the surrounding area.
