Taken together, we believe the market's focus on scandium scarcity overstates the

practical risk to Bloom’s manufacturing ramp. The company’s proprietary sourcing

approach, diversified supplier network, significant supply headroom relative to current

production levels, and ongoing materials development efforts suggest that scandium

availability is unlikely to be a binding constraint on the company’s ability to scale

operations.

Confidentiality as a Competitive Strategy - Defending Bloom’s Intellectual

Property

While additional disclosure would be beneficial, it is important to recognize that Bloom

Energy has invested significant time, resources, and capital in developing and refining its

proprietary technology. As a result, the company seeks to protect its technological moat

and limit the ability of competitors to replicate similar solutions. In addition, Bloom

maintains strict confidentiality regarding its sourcing network to preserve the resilience

and integrity of its supply chain. Supplier relationships, sourcing volumes, and

procurement strategies are considered proprietary information and are not broadly

shared across the vendor ecosystem. Importantly, this approach is not a recent

development but rather reflects a long-standing company practice intended to

deepen their commitment to Bloom Energy. Most recently, Brookfield expanded its
