pressure. (3) For Q2, we forecast revenue of SEK
53.1bn, gross margin of 47.9%, and EBITA margin of 13.3%, with Networks modestly up,
Cloud Software Services seasonally strong, Enterprise down y/y due to the iconectiv
divestiture, and a small FX tailwind from a slightly stronger USD. Given investor
positioning on mobile networks business growth, we believe that if Ericsson achieves
consensus expectations, the stock could react positively to it.
Vodafone Spain – Signs 5Y deal with Dell
Dell signed a strategic agreement with Vodafone Spain’s business unit Vodafone Empresas
to expand Vodafone’s data centre capacity across Spain over the next five years. The
partnership will use a flexible, consumption-based approach to scale infrastructure in line
with demand and support growth in digital services. Vodafone said the agreement will use
Dell Apex to consume infrastructure capacity as needed, reduce upfront capex, align costs
with demand, improve financial efficiency and accelerate time to market while supporting
availability and operational continuity. (Source: Telecompaper)
Denmark – Consults on fibre leasing price caps
Denmark’s Competition and Consumer Authority has opened a consultation, running to 21
August, on proposed five-year requirements for 13 fibre network owners, including price
caps for leasing fibre intended to improve competitive conditions for ISPs. The authority
said the proposals reflect higher sector costs, including costs linked to protecting critical
infrastructure. TDC is the only fibre network owner that also sells retail broadband services
that would have obligations imposed on it under the proposal, because it has not offered
commitments the authority considers acceptable.
