The first testing phase of the National Health Platform begins this month.

Developed by TRF-4 in accordance with guidelines established by the STF, the

platform represents a new approach to addressing the growing litigation in

healthcare. The system consolidates data on SUS-covered medications prescribed

nationwide and enables the sharing of prescription-related information with the

judiciary. The initiative is expected to improve governance, enhance transparency,

and facilitate a clearer allocation of responsibilities among the federal

government, states, and municipalities in healthcare-related litigation.

UBS's view: Although the platform is still in its testing phase and its initial

applications are more closely linked to the public healthcare system, the initiative

could represent an important step toward addressing broader litigation trends in

healthcare, potentially including the private sector over time (particularly if it

gains traction among lower courts). By consolidating prescription data and

increasing information sharing between healthcare authorities and the judiciary,

the platform could improve consistency in court decisions, reduce subjectivity, and
