This is our tracker to assess how airlines in Latin America are allocating +55-11-4009-5213

capacity over the coming months, highlighting changes in flights and seat filipe.nielsen@citi.com

offerings on a weekly basis. Data this week reinforced our sentiment that

we’re near an inflection point in capacity cuts due to higher fuel. While Copa

continued marginally increasing flights and seats offered from 3Q onward,

LATAM and Aeromexico performed targeted capacity increases in domestic

markets. More details are discussed below. Detailed charts are in the note.

Copa — Changes in Copa’s schedule were mild but on the positive direction, with

available seat increasing by +0.7% in August and +0.9% in September, spread

throughout the network. It’s worth noting that the carrier added 37 flights (+1.3%) in

October. Moreover, 2Q26 apparently closed on a strong note, with capacity growing

+17.4% y-o-y.

LATAM Airlines — Domestic capacity adjustments were on the positive side and

focused on Andean countries, with significant capacity increases in Peru (+6.5% in

available seats in August) and Chile (+2.3% in August and +1.2% in September),

while changes in Brazil domestic were mild. Meanwhile, LATAM slightly reduced

international schedules, with mild frequency cuts of transpacific flights from Chile,

from August through October.

Aeromexico — Aeromexico’s changes were concentrated on domestic markets this

week, with available seats increased by +1.2% in August. This week’s adjustments

demonstrated the carrier’s upgauging strategy, as they increased seats while
